Metta Therapy draws inspiration from the ancient Buddhist practice of \u2018Metta\u2019, which is the cultivation of the mental and emotional state of \u2018Loving Kindness\u2019 and \u2018Compassion\u2019 towards others (and self).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Metta is a practice of Compassion, and this is one of the three underlying Principal Values of practice at Metta Therapy, along with Collaboration and Curiosity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With Collaboration, Curiosity and Compassion, Metta Therapy clients can safely explore why they think and feel in the way(s) that they do and how to learn how to think and feel in ways that are more desirable to them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Within a safe, comfortable, confidential, friendly, welcoming and professional space, you are supported through a process of \u2018Unlearning\u2019 and \u2018Un-Conditioning\u2019 from past beliefs and behaviours which may be holding you back from realising your true potential.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

By identifying and \u2018Unlearning\u2019 and \u2018Un-Conditioning\u2019 old unwanted and unhelpful beliefs and behaviours, you are supported to \u2018Relearn\u2019 or Re-Condition\u2019 how you want to think, feel and act in your life.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>

Therapy works better when clients are invested in their own therapy and who are willing and ready to do the inner work, in session, and between sessions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With Integrative Therapy<\/a> and Outdoor Therapy<\/a>, manageable tasks may be discussed and agreed to be carried out between sessions by the client, to help support therapeutic progress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

With Clinical Hypnosis<\/a>, recordings of sessions are required to be listened to between sessions as this will help to embed your desired change(s) at the subconscious level.<\/span><\/p>

Therapy is an investment of time and energy into your own \u2018self\u2019.\u00a0 The person you will have the longest and most meaningful relationship with throughout life is not your parents or your life partner, it is your own \u2018self\u2019.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
